Continuously Diagonalized Density Operator of Open Systems
نویسنده
چکیده
We showed several years ago that the density operator of Markovian open systems can be diagonalized continuously in time. The resulting pure state jump processes correspond to quantum trajectories proposed in recent quantum optics calculations or, at fundamental level, to exact consistent histories. The quantum state of an open quantum system — actually a subsystem of a closed one — cannot be described by deterministically evolving state vectors ψ.

متن کاملLASERS WITHOUT INVERSION: DENSITY OPERATOR METHOD
A quantum theory of a two and three-level laser with injected atomic coherence is developed by using a density operator method, to the best of our knowledge, for the first time. The initial atomic coherence plays an essential role. At steady state, the equation of motion for the density operator yields to exhibit laser without inversion and a phase locking but no threshold for the laser fie...
متن کاملQuantum jumps as decoherent histories
Quantum open systems are described in the Markovian limit by master equations in Lindblad form. I argue that common “quantum jumps” techniques, which solve the master equation by unraveling its evolution into stochastic trajectories in Hilbert space, correspond closely to a particular set of decoherent histories. This is illustrated by a simple model of a photon counting experiment. Recently a ...

In this paper, we present a new vision for studying ${F}$-open, ${F}$-continuous, and ${F}$-irresolute function in $(L,M)$-fuzzy topological spaces based on the implication operation and $(L,M)$-fuzzy ${F}$-open operator cite{2}. These kinds of functions are generalized with their elementary properties to $(L,M)$-fuzzy topological spaces setting based on graded concepts. Moreover, a systematic ...

A causally well-behaved solution of the localization problem for the free electron is given, with natural space-time transformation properties , in terms of Dirac's position operator x. It is shown that, although x is not an observable in the usual sense, and has no positive-energy (generalized) eigenstates, the 4-vector density (ρ(x, t), j(x, t)/c) is observable , and can be localized arbitrar...
